Blog | Premier League Predictions | Matchday 9

The international break is over, the Premier League is back - time for more predictions!

Saturday 20th October, 12:30pm kick-off

Chelsea 4-2 Manchester United

I really don't want Chelsea to win, but I fully expect Eden Hazard to completely tear apart this leaky United defence and keep the pressure on Mourinho.

Saturday 20th October, 3pm kick-off

Bournemouth 2-1 Southampton

After destroying Watford last game, I fully expect Bournemouth to win again this time out.

Cardiff City 3-2 Fulham

Fulham have a ludicrously leaky defence, and - although the same could be said for Cardiff - I think the home team might just edge it.

Manchester City 3-0 Burnley

A pretty routine win for City this time out - could easily see them scoring even more than just three.

Newcastle United 1-0 Brighton & Hove Albion

Seriously, Newcastle are overdue a home win and surely they can't blow it this time... Right?

West Ham United 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs haven't been great this season, but they keep bloody winning. Great for them, sodding irritating for me.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-1 Watford

Wolves' bright start to the season has lasted longer than Watford's, and I fully expect that trend to continue here.

Saturday 20th October, 5:30pm kick-off

Huddersfield Town 1-2 Liverpool

Liverpool's incredible attack of last season is only doing just enough right now, and I can the reds just edging this away game as a result.

Sunday 21st October, 4pm kick-off

Everton 2-1 Crystal Palace

Both teams have been pretty inconsistent so far this season and I think this game's going to be close, but I can't see it being a draw - home advantage wins it.

Monday 22nd October, 8pm

Arsenal 4-2 Leicester City

Arsenal's attack looks to have finally clicked and are pretty much always strong at the Emirates, so I can see them scoring a few, but the leaky defence making things a bit closer than they should be.

Here's how my predictions for the season so far - including those above - would leave the table looking after this weekend.
