Blog | Premier League Predictions | Matchday 8
It's another weekend, another round of Premier League fixtures, and another set of predictions to go with them - on with the show!
Friday 5th October, 8pm kick-off
Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 West Ham United
The Hammers may have beaten Man Utd last weekend, but they've been pretty dreadful away from home this season.
Saturday 6th October, 3pm kick-off
Burnley 1-0 Huddersfield Town
Huddersfield are struggling like crazy, while Burnley look to have settled a little after a poor start.
Crystal Palace 0-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Palace are better away from home this season and I can see their inability to score in front of their own fans costing them again.
Leicester City 2-1 Everton
This should be straightforward: Leicester have been decent at home, Everton poor away.
Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 Cardiff City
Another weekend and another comfy Tottenham win - when are they going to Spurs it all up, damn it?
Watford 2-0 Bournemouth
Similar to Leicester v Everton, Watford have been impressive at home and Bournemouth have struggled when away.
Saturday 6th October, 5:30pm kick-off
Manchester United 2-0 Newcastle United
Surely Mourinho can stop the slide against Newcastle? I hope he doesn't, but think he probably can - annoyingly.
Sunday 7th October, 12:00pm kick-off
Fulham 1-2 Arsenal
Unai Emery to continue laughing at Wenger's dreadful away record of last season with yet another victory on the road.
Sunday 7th October, 2:15pm kick-off
Southampton 1-2 Chelsea
I expect the Saints to fight, but Chelsea - and especially the incredible Eden Hazard - should have too much for them.
Sunday 7th October, 4:30pm, kick-off
Liverpool 3-3 Manchester City
Goals, goals, and even more goals - and two points lost for both teams too.
Here's how my predictions for the season so far - including those above - would leave the table looking after this weekend.
